MyAlloy Review: Personalized Menopause Support Or A Gimmick?

MyAlloy Review

MyAlloy is an online telehealth brand that offers support for managing hormonal changes during the menopause transition. The brand may offer symptom relief for common concerns like hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, low libido, and vaginal dryness.

The MyAlloy brand lineup includes both hormone-based and non-hormone options, such as oral tablets, vaginal cream, gel, estradiol patch, and low-dose birth control.

Through its digital platform, MyAlloy may also connect you with licensed menopause-trained doctors who may offer a customized care plan tailored to your symptoms, along with ongoing support.

In this MyAlloy review, we cover everything you need to know about MyAlloy, including its product lineup, advantages, pros/cons, and limitations. The review also discusses two potential substitutes for MyAlloy.

About MyAlloy

Co-founded by Anne Fulenwider and Monica Molenaar, MyAlloy aims to support the transition into the perimenopause and menopause stages of the menstrual cycle, particularly if you are 40 years of age or above.

Through its website, MyAlloy offers a straightforward medical intake form where you can report your health history, symptoms, and menopause-related concerns. Based on this information, licensed providers may recommend suitable treatment options that address your specific symptoms and needs.

The platform is supported by a team of board-certified physicians and menopause-focused specialists led by Chief Medical Advisor Dr. Sharon Malone (MD, FACOG, MSCP). This structure offers medical oversight and ensures that care aligns with clinical standards for hormonal health.

MyAlloy offers a range of hormone-based therapies, including FDA-approved estradiol in various forms, such as pills, patches, creams, and gels. The brand also provides access to non-hormonal options like low-dose paroxetine capsules, which are specifically made to help soothe menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats.

Beyond symptom management, the brand includes complementary products like M4 Estriol Face Cream and Low-Dose Oral Minoxidil, which may support skin elasticity and hair density, respectively. The Alloy Synbiotic aims to promote digestive and immune health, while O-mazing Cream is positioned as a topical formulation that may enhance physical arousal and intimacy.

MyAlloy Products

  1. Estradiol Vaginal Cream

Estradiol Vaginal Cream by MyAlloy may help soothe common genitourinary symptoms associated with menopause. These may include vaginal dryness, irritation, itching, painful intercourse, and recurring urinary tract infections (UTIs).

As per the official site, Estradiol Vaginal Cream contains 0.01% estradiol, which is an FDA-approved and bioidentical form of estrogen. The cream works by restoring estrogen levels in vaginal tissues that often become thin, dry, or inflamed due to hormonal decline. By improving tissue elasticity, natural lubrication, and pH balance, it may help reduce inflammation and support vaginal health.

  2. M4 Estriol Face Cream

MyAlloy's M4 Estriol Face Cream aims to minimize skin concerns linked to estrogen decline during perimenopause/menopause. As estrogen levels naturally decline with age, you might experience reduced collagen production, loss of skin elasticity, dryness, and more prominent fine lines. The M4 Estriol Face Cream may help fade these visible changes using estriol, a bioidentical, low-potency form of estrogen.

Estriol may help restore estrogen signaling in skin cells, which may support collagen synthesis and improve skin elasticity. These processes could help fade the appearance of wrinkles, blemishes, and fine lines. M4 Estriol Face Cream also contains vitamin E acetate, a potent antioxidant that may protect skin lipids from oxidative stress and support barrier repair.

Glycerin may act as a humectant, drawing moisture into your skin and maintaining hydration. Olive oil contains fatty acids and potent antioxidants, which may help reinforce the skin barrier and soothe inflammation, potentially minimizing concerns like dry skin. Other ingredients in M4 Estriol Face Cream include olive oil, caprylic/capric triglycerides, glyceryl stearate, and phenoxyethanol.

  3. Alloy Synbiotic

MyAlloy's Alloy Synbiotic has probiotics and prebiotics, which may support digestive health, immune function, and gut health. As per the official site, Alloy Synbiotic features 3 clinically studied, spore-forming probiotic strains, including Bacillus subtilis (HU58™), Bacillus coagulans (SC-208), and Bacillus clausii (SC-109). These bacteria strains survive stomach acid and reach the intestines intact, where they help support your gut microbiome.

The Alloy Synbiotic formula also contains prebiotics like Livaux® and MicrobiomeX®. Livaux® (gold kiwifruit powder) may support gut health by selectively feeding Faecalibacterium prausnitzii, an anti-inflammatory bacterium often depleted during menopause. The process may help lower gut inflammation and improve barrier function, which may support better digestion.

MicrobiomeX® comprises a citrus flavonoid extract, which can support gut microbiome balance by enhancing the production of short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), especially butyrate. Such effects might help strengthen your intestinal lining and support a healthy immune response.

According to the official site, the Alloy Synbiotic formula is vegan-friendly, gluten-free, sugar-free, and non-GMO. It also does not require refrigeration, which may add to its ease of use. The makers suggest taking two Alloy Synbiotic capsules daily to support gut health and immunity.

  4. Tretinoin Face Cream

Tretinoin Face Cream by MyAlloy offers a prescription-strength formula, which may help minimize skincare concerns like acne, fine lines, uneven tone, and sun-induced damage. It aims to help provide your skin with a more youthful look and feel.

According to the official site, Tretinoin Face Cream comprises ingredients like aloe, tretinoin (a vitamin A derivative), niacinamide, dimethicone, etc. Tretinoin works by accelerating cell turnover in the skin, which may help shed dead skin cells more quickly and stimulate collagen production. It may gradually result in reduced breakouts, decreased rough patches, and reduced visibility of fine lines.

Niacinamide (vitamin B3) may strengthen the skin barrier by boosting ceramide production, reducing transepidermal water loss, and lowering inflammation. Such effects may help balance oil production and fade visible hyperpigmentation. Aloe vera delivers polysaccharides and antioxidants that may soothe inflammation, enhance wound healing, and hydrate the skin by increasing moisture retention. However, tretinoin may trigger side effects like dryness, mild burning sensation, redness, or peeling after initial use.

  5. Estradiol Pill

The Estradiol Pill by MyAlloy may help tackle menopause-related symptoms. It comes as an oral tablet, which aims to soothe menopausal symptoms, such as reduced libido, hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, and mood changes.

You need to complete an online health assessment in order to purchase the Estradiol Pill, which a menopause care specialist at MyAlloy reviews. If deemed appropriate, a personalized plan is created, and a three-month supply of the estradiol pill is delivered directly to you.

As per the official site, Estradiol Pill contains bioidentical estradiol, a form of estrogen identical to that produced by your body. It may help in the management of vasomotor and vaginal, and vulvar atrophy symptoms associated with menopause.

The makers suggest consuming one Estradiol Pill daily to soothe menopausal discomfort. However, the Estradiol Pill formula may trigger potential side effects, such as headaches, bloating, breast tenderness, or spotting.

  6. O-mazing

O-mazing by MyAlloy aims to support sexual arousal and satisfaction, particularly if you are experiencing reduced libido due to perimenopause, menopause, or aging.

According to the official site, the O-mazing cream has a low-dose variant of topical sildenafil. The compound may help stimulate natural lubrication, improve blood flow to the genital areas, and heighten sensitivity, which may all contribute to improved sexual experiences.

The O-mazing cream also contains pentoxifylline, which improves blood circulation and enhances arousal. Ergoloid mesylates may help stimulate neurotransmitters associated with sexual pleasure (dopamine and oxytocin), supporting both mental and physical stimulation. Peppermint oil is also included in O-mazing cream to provide a natural cooling effect for added sensory stimulation.

MyAlloy Advantages

  1. Customized Hormone Therapy

MyAlloy delivers personalized hormone therapy that is customized to your profile, symptoms, and menopause goals. Its care team, composed of board-certified OB/GYNs and certified menopause practitioners, may prescribe low-dose, bioidentical hormones such as estradiol and micronized progesterone. These formulations are selected based on your medical history and symptom severity, offering a targeted approach to managing hot flashes, night sweats, mood shifts, or sleep issues.

MyAlloy's approach aligns with evidence-based guidelines from leading organizations like the North American Menopause Society (NAMS) and the Endocrine Society. By customizing the process, the brand aims to maximize symptom relief.

  2. Fully Online Care and Ongoing Support

MyAlloy operates on an online telehealth model to address the gaps in standard menopause care. With no need for clinic visits or long waits, the entire process, from initial consultation to follow-up, is handled through MyAlloy's secure and user-friendly digital platform.

You begin by completing an online intake form, which is reviewed by a licensed physician specializing in menopause. Based on the analysis, the physician may recommend hormone/non-hormonal formulations to tackle menopausal discomfort, such as estradiol pill, estradiol patch, progesterone capsules, or non-hormonal paroxetine.

MyAlloy also provides access to ongoing, responsive care from a menopause-certified physician who actively monitors your symptoms and adjusts your menopausal care plan as needed. You may communicate directly with your assigned healthcare provider anytime through the online portal, ask questions, or request changes without jumping through hoops.

  3. Transparency In Pricing

The MyAlloy brand offers a clear, upfront pricing model for its formulations and consultation services, with no hidden costs. Your initial online consultation with a licensed, menopause-trained physician costs $49, a fee that applies whether or not you proceed with the process. This ensures upfront access to expert advice without a long-term commitment. If you choose to begin hormone therapy, all prescriptions include free shipping and continuous access to care. MyAlloy does not charge additional fees for follow-up messages, medication adjustments, or ongoing physician oversight. This pricing model allows you to make informed decisions about your menopause care with confidence, knowing exactly what you're paying for and why.

MyAlloy Limitations

  1. No Refund Policy

The MyAlloy brand has a strict no-refund policy, which can be a disadvantage, especially if you're new to the platform. Once you pay for the initial $49 consultation or commit to a menopausal care plan, the payment is non-refundable, regardless of whether the service meets your expectations or circumstances change. Such a lack of flexibility may feel especially unfair if you're unhappy with your results, have second thoughts, or are unable to use the service due to a medical issue. As a result, you're left bearing the full financial risk without any safety net.

  2. Limited Flexibility In Subscription Plans

MyAlloy's subscription model offers limited flexibility, which could be a drawback if you're looking for more control over your treatment schedule. For most formulations, including the Estradiol Pill, Paroxetine, and Alloy Synbiotic, the brand requires a minimum 3-month supply per order. This default setup may feel rigid, particularly if you're still adjusting to the therapy or uncertain about long-term use. There are no built-in options to easily pause, shorten, or switch delivery intervals through the platform. As a result, you might feel confined to a structure that emphasizes continuity over convenience, potentially complicating your ability to tailor care to your changing needs or lifestyle.

MyAlloy Alternative Brands

  1. Evernow

When comparing Evernow and MyAlloy, both brands offer a telehealth platform focused on redefining midlife healthcare for women, particularly during the perimenopause and menopause transition. However, the brands diverge on some aspects.

Evernow offers a pay-per-visit and membership model to access its menopausal care services. The pay-per-visit model comes with access to a one-time virtual consultation with a menopausal clinician alongside a menopausal care plan and medications. For membership, Evernow offers plans starting at $35/month, which offer access to unlimited messaging with menopause specialists alongside medications and a care plan. Meanwhile, MyAlloy requires a one-time consultation fee of around $49, after which medications are charged separately.

In terms of pricing transparency, Evernow does not provide a detailed breakdown of the pricing of its formulations on its official site, which may be less convenient if you want to compare costs upfront. On the other hand, MyAlloy lists pricing details for its formulations on its official website. For instance, MyAlloy clearly states that its Estradiol Pill costs $39.99 while the Alloy Synbiotic costs $24.99.

When it comes to insurance compatibility, Evernow offers insurance coverage on all video consultations and select prescription medications (when fulfilled at local pharmacies). The brand accepts major insurance plans from Anthem, United Healthcare, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. However, MyAlloy does not accept insurance of any kind, which may lead to out-of-pocket costs, particularly if you rely on insurance to cover medical expenses.

  2. Bonafide

When comparing Bonafide Health and MyAlloy, the brands differ in terms of product range and formulation focus. Bonafide offers a restricted line of over-the-counter formulations targeting some menopause-related symptoms, such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness, low libido, and skin/hair concerns. These include formulations like Relizen, Revaree, Ristela, and the Silvessa hair/skin serum. Meanwhile, MyAlloy's portfolio spans both hormonal and non-hormonal formulations, as well as supportive care for skincare, haircare, sexual health, and gut health. For instance, the brand offers formulations like Estradiol Cream, Alloy Synbiotic, Oral Minoxidil, etc, to cover multiple needs.

The two brands also diverge in their choice of active ingredients. Bonafide avoids hormones altogether by using drug-free, naturally derived components like Swedish flower pollen extract, hyaluronic acid, and amino acids in its formulations. On the other hand, the formulations from MyAlloy comprise bioidentical hormonal compounds like estradiol and paroxetine.

Bonafide Health and MyAlloy also have differences in their refund policy. For example, Bonafide provides a 30-day refund policy on unused/unopened products for new orders from the date of order shipment. For recurring orders, the brand offers a 14-day refund window on unused/unopened products. In contrast, MyAlloy adheres to stricter policies that do not offer returns or refunds once formulations are dispensed.

  • Offers specialized menopausal care plans to minimize perimenopause/menopause discomfort.

How Did We Evaluate MyAlloy?

  1. Brand Credibility

To evaluate MyAlloy's brand credibility, we considered its background, core focus, and ratings on authentic third-party review websites. MyAlloy brand was created to provide access to customized and accessible menopausal care. The brand is backed by board-certified OB/GYNs and certified menopause practitioners, which may further add to MyAlloy's credibility.

However, for a more thorough analysis, we assessed the ratings received by MyAlloy on genuine review platforms like Trustpilot, Better Business Bureau (BBB), Reviews.io, and TenereTeam.

On Trustpilot, MyAlloy holds a 4.4 out of 5 rating based on more than 2,490 reviews, indicating mostly positive consumer feedback. However, a few Trustpilot reviews shared negative feedback, including delays in receiving refunds and inconsistencies in the formulation's effectiveness.

The MyAlloy brand has an A rating on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) platform. However, there are a few complaints on record, which may indicate negative perceptions about the brand.

On TenereTeam, MyAlloy maintains a 4.3 out of 5 rating, although the rating is drawn from a smaller sample size of just 11 publicly visible reviews. It is also important to note that MyAlloy does not currently have a presence on the Reviews.io platform.

  2. Real Consumer Reviews

When evaluating the MyAlloy brand, we analyzed the real consumer feedback of the brand and its formulations on authentic review platforms like Trustpilot and Better Business Bureau (BBB).

On Trustpilot, most consumers appreciated MyAlloy's convenience, fast delivery of medications, and patient-centric approach to menopause care. Several users on Trustpilot appreciated MyAlloy's formulations like estrogen patches, estradiol creams, and M4 Estriol Face Cream. Many consumers experienced notable improvements in skin health, mood, and reduction in menopausal symptoms with consistent use of these formulations.

However, some Trustpilot customers expressed dissatisfaction with the physical quality of some MyAlloy formulations, such as gritty textures in tretinoin creams or poorly designed packaging. A few Trustpilot reviews highlighted other negative aspects, such as delays in customer support response, unsealed shipments, and a lack of flexibility in obtaining refunds.

Feedback on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) further highlights issues related to transparency and service quality. While some customers were initially drawn to MyAlloy's menopause-specific focus and promises of expert care, many users voiced concerns about unexpected charges, unclear subscription terms, and difficulty in managing or canceling their accounts.

Some users on BBB also shared that they felt let down by the level of medical expertise they encountered, claiming inaccurate advice or insufficient support.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does MyAlloy Provide Compounded Bioidentical Hormone Formulas?
No. MyAlloy focuses solely on FDA-approved hormone therapies like estradiol and does not provide formulations with compounded bioidentical hormones.
  • Are Video Consultations Available Through MyAlloy?
No. The MyAlloy brand does not provide access to online video consultations with menopause specialists. Instead, the brand offers communication via online messaging, which may feel impersonal in some cases.
  • Can MyAlloy Formulations Address Menopause-Related Depression or Anxiety?
Not directly. The customized hormone therapy options from MyAlloy (like estradiol) might help elevate your mood. However, these formulations do not specifically target reduction in depressive or anxiety symptoms. Moreover, the brand does not provide mental health counseling or psychiatric care.

Conclusion

MyAlloy provides an online platform and personalized care, which may be particularly beneficial if you are experiencing menopause and midlife health concerns. The brand brings together customized hormone therapy, access to certified menopause specialists, and the convenience of continuous support from MyAlloy representatives.

The MyAlloy brand offers both customized hormone and non-hormone therapies to tackle menopausal discomfort. Such options include prescription-based estradiol pills, patches, and gels alongside non-hormonal formulations like Paroxetine. For a consultation fee of $49, you get access to chat support with licensed menopausal care physicians.

However, MyAlloy follows a strict no-refund policy on orders, which means that once you pay, the cost is final, even if the service/formulation doesn't meet your expectations or needs. Most formulations from MyAlloy come with a 3-month supply, which also limits flexibility, especially if you're still figuring out what works best for you.
