Beauty By Earth Review

Bestsellers

  1. Face Wash Cleansing Gel

Face Wash Cleansing Gel removes excess oil, dirt, makeup residue, and daily impurities while helping maintain skin hydration and barrier health. It features sea kelp, a marine botanical rich in minerals, vitamins, and naturally occurring compounds that help hydrate and soothe the skin. The product also has aloe vera, which might replenish moisture lost during cleansing while promoting skin comfort, making the formula suitable for sensitive and redness-prone skin types.

The makers added calendula flower extract for its skin-soothing and conditioning properties. It could comfort stressed skin, strengthen the skin barrier, and contribute to a smoother, more balanced complexion. Face Wash Cleansing Gel also has cranberry extract that provides antioxidants, which help protect the skin from environmental stressors.

  2. Magnesium Deodorants

Magnesium Deodorants may help suppress bad odor while complementing the body's natural perspiration process. As per its official website, it is available in White Tea Mood, Feel Good Citrus, and Sweet Amber Moment scents.

The formula is based on magnesium hydroxide, which reduces underarm odor by creating an environment that is less favorable for odor-causing bacteria. Orange peel oil in the formula provides naturally occurring aromatic compounds, which could offer a clean citrus scent while offering antimicrobial activity that may assist in limiting the growth of bacteria associated with body odor.

Magnesium Deodorants also contain white tea extract that provides antioxidant support through naturally occurring polyphenols and catechins. Such compounds help protect the skin from environmental stress while also offering mild antibacterial properties. Shea butter in the product may further help soften and condition your delicate underarm skin.

  3. Self Tanner Drops

Self Tanner Drops create a gradual, natural-looking facial or body tan when mixed with a moisturizer or lotion. They contain jojoba seed oil that serves as a nourishing emollient that closely resembles the skin’s natural sebum. Such effects could improve moisture balance and reduce the appearance of dryness.

The manufacturer added cucumber fruit extract, which is naturally rich in water content and beneficial plant compounds. It could promote skin comfort and may reduce the appearance of temporary dryness or dullness. The inclusion of vanilla extract may help shield the skin from environmental stressors.

Self Tanner Drops also contain squalane that helps improve skin softness and elasticity without leaving a greasy feel. It may create a smooth canvas for self-tanning application and support a more even-looking glow. The product also features Lactobacillus ferment that provides microbiome-supportive benefits, which help maintain skin balance and overall skin condition.

  4. Self Tanner Mousse Kit

Self Tanner Mousse Kit is a self-tanning system intended to create a buildable, natural-looking bronze glow with a lightweight mousse formula and a dedicated application kit. The kit includes application tools needed to support smoother and more even coverage, while the quick-drying, non-sticky formula develops over several hours.

The formula contains chamomile flower extract, which could promote skin comfort and help fade the appearance of temporary irritation or redness. Organic witch hazel in the product has natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which may enhance skin barrier function.

The makers further added vegetable glycerin, which functions as a humectant that provides moisture within the skin. Such effects could promote hydration and support a smoother skin texture while minimizing dryness that may sometimes interfere with even self-tanner application.

  5. Glowing & Radiant Organic Facial Oil

Glowing & Radiant Organic Facial Oil is formulated to support hydration, skin barrier function, radiance, and skin nourishment. At its core, the formula contains argan oil that provides essential fatty acids, antioxidants, and vitamin E. Such compounds help improve moisture retention and support skin elasticity. The makers also added pomegranate extract to help defend the skin against pollution and free radical exposure.

The product also features lavender flower oil, which offers soothing and conditioning properties that help maintain skin comfort and balance. Inclusion of calendula flower oil might help calm the appearance of dryness and sensitivity while promoting a smoother, healthier-looking skin surface.

Glowing & Radiant Organic Facial Oil also contains lemon peel oil, which contributes natural antioxidant compounds that help enhance the appearance of brightness and freshness.

  6. Face Tanner Lotion

Face Tanner Lotion may provide a gradual, customizable bronze glow while addressing the unique needs of facial skin. DHA (dihydroxyacetone) is the primary tanning ingredient responsible for creating the sunless bronzed appearance. Sourced from sugar beet sources, DHA interacts with amino acids that are present in your skin to develop color over several hours gradually. This process helps create a natural-looking tan without exposure to ultraviolet radiation.

Shea Butter helps provide hydration and may strengthen your skin's natural moisture barrier. Argan kernel oil contributes lightweight nourishment while helping maintain skin elasticity and softness. It includes vitamin E and fatty acids, which could promote moisture retention without leaving a heavy or greasy feel. Face Tanner Lotion also contains witch hazel extract, which may help reduce excess oil buildup while maintaining a refreshed feel.

  7. Sea Salt & Texturizing Spray

As per the official site, the Sea Salt & Texturizing Spray enhances texture, volume, and natural-looking waves. It features sea salt, which creates microscopic deposits along the hair shaft that increase friction and separation between strands. This effect helps add volume, fullness, and texture while encouraging the formation of loose waves.

The makers added raspberry extract, which provides antioxidant support and conditioning properties that help maintain hair softness and resilience. Algae extract helps deliver moisture-supporting minerals and nutrients to the hair. It could help promote hydration, improve hair manageability, and contribute to a healthier-looking strand appearance.

Sea Salt & Texturizing Spray also features passionfruit extract with naturally occurring vitamins, antioxidants, and fatty acids that help nourish the hair shaft. It supports smoother-looking hair while helping maintain moisture balance. The makers also added coconut pulp extract, which helps condition and moisturize the hair strands without creating excessive heaviness.

  8. Cleansing Face Scrub

Cleansing Face Scrub is formulated as a 2-in-1 facial cleanser and exfoliator intended to help remove surface impurities, excess oil, dead skin cells, and pore-clogging debris. Lauryl glucoside in the product works as a mild surfactant that helps lift away dirt, excess sebum, sunscreen residue, and daily impurities from the skin’s surface without disrupting the skin barrier.

Bamboo stem powder functions as a natural exfoliating ingredient that may polish the skin by removing accumulated dead skin cells and surface buildup. Its fine texture assists in refining rough areas, improving skin smoothness, and supporting clearer-looking pores. The manufacturer added pumice to the formula to further help dislodge debris, excess oil, and dead skin cells that might otherwise contribute to clogged pores, blackheads, and a dull complexion.

Cleansing Face Scrub also features blueberry extract that contains naturally occurring polyphenols and vitamins. These compounds may help promote skin resilience while supporting a healthier-looking complexion.

Beauty By Earth Advantages

  1. Certification and Compliance Framework

Beauty by Earth highlights a combination of brand-wide standards and product-specific certifications. It mentions recognized third-party certifications and compliance programs that help validate various aspects of its products and operations.

The brand states Leaping Bunny certification, U.S.-based manufacturing, recyclable packaging initiatives, and non-GMO ingredient standards as important elements of its overall identity. It indicates that the brand emphasizes transparency, cruelty-free practices, and responsible product development. The makers also utilize additional certifications on selected products. USDA Organic certification is limited to specific items within its certified organic collection. If third-party certifications play a role in your purchasing decisions, this brand provides several independently recognized standards that can help evaluate products.

  2. Omnichannel Distribution Network

Beauty by Earth operates through a diversified distribution network that extends beyond its direct-to-consumer website. The brand offers products through its website and mobile applications while maintaining a presence on major e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, Walmart.com, Target.com, Grove, Thrive Market, and iHerb.

The company also distributes products through spas, wellness centers, boutiques, salons, dermatology practices, and specialty retailers across the United States and select international markets. Its distribution model provides you with multiple purchasing pathways across online, professional, specialty, and retail environments. You can also get easy access and explore the brand’s offerings, compared to companies that are available primarily through a single channel.

Beauty By Earth Limitation

  1. Broad Portfolio Complexity

Beauty by Earth offers various products across personal-care categories, including self-tanners, sunscreen, skincare, body care, haircare, deodorants, lip care, beauty tools, and gift sets.

As the brand covers so many categories, it may be less clear what it is best known for. You may find the product range less targeted and more difficult to navigate, causing decision fatigue. If you prefer highly specialized brands that focus on one particular niche, Beauty by Earth may feel less streamlined. You may need to spend additional time browsing and filtering the product selection to find the products that best align with your individual needs.

Pros

  • Emphasizes made in the USA positioning with small-batch manufacturing practices.
  • Highlights cruelty-free product development practices.
  • Bundle options help simplify multi-step beauty and personal care routines.

Cons

  • Premium price positioning may reduce product accessibility.
  • Some users reported delays in shipment and refund processing.

  1. Cocokind

Cocokind and Beauty By Earth both function within the beauty and personal care segment. However, the brands differ in their core positioning, breadth of offerings, scope, and accessibility.

The differences become clearer when comparing the breadth and structure of their product offerings. Meanwhile, individual products from Beauty By Earth are priced at around $6–$60, while bundle packs are priced between $20 and $120.

Cocokind distinguishes itself through a specialized focus on facial skincare, barrier support, hydration, and research-informed product development supported by extensive educational resources. Meanwhile, Beauty By Earth differentiates itself through a broader personal care portfolio while emphasizing naturally derived ingredients and family-oriented product development.

  2. True Botanicals

When comparing the brands, True Botanicals and Beauty By Earth both offer beauty and cosmetic care products. However, the brands have some nuances in their core background, range of offerings, formulation philosophy, and quality control standards.

In terms of product range, True Botanicals maintains a skincare-first approach with major categories that include facial cleansers, serums, face oils, moisturizers, eye care products, masks, body care, hair care, and fragrance. The brand’s portfolio is organized around skincare-focused collections such as the Chebula Active Collection, Renew Collection, and Calm Collection, alongside signature offerings like Chebula Active Serum, Renew Pure Radiance Oil, and Phyto Retinol Sleep Serum.

Product formats also reflect the brands' differing priorities. True Botanicals primarily focuses on concentrated skincare formats such as serums, facial oils, creams, balms, and targeted formulations that support specialized skincare routines. Beauty By Earth integrates a wider variety of formats, including lotions, mousses, sprays, creams, balms, sticks, oils, and serums to support a broader range of beauty and body care needs.

The brands also differ in their manufacturing, formulation, and quality control philosophies. True Botanicals emphasizes ingredient sourcing, safety screening, and third-party certifications. Meanwhile, Beauty By Earth emphasizes naturally derived ingredients, plant-based formulations, cruelty-free practices, and ingredient transparency. It also highlights USDA Organic certifications across select products and the Plastic Neutral program certification.

How Did We Evaluate?

  1. Real User Feedback

When evaluating Beauty By Earth, we examined real user feedback for two of the brand’s core offerings on Amazon to assess how they perform in everyday use, where they meet expectations, and what limitations are commonly reported.

Self-Tanner Tanning Lotion carries a 4.3 out of 5 rating from more than 26,800 reviews. Many users described that the lotion delivered a natural-looking tan without an overly orange appearance, while some users highlighted its smooth application, moisturizing feel, and milder scent. However, a few users experienced occasional patchiness in cases of incorrect application, while others reported that the tanning scent became more noticeable with repeated use.

The Face Wash Cleansing Gel holds a 4.4 out of 5 rating based on more than 1,080 reviews. Several users described the cleanser as gentle, lightweight, and effective at removing dirt, makeup, and daily buildup without leaving the skin feeling excessively dry. However, a small portion of users felt the bottle size was modest for the price, while others found the cleanser effective but not significantly different from other available options.

Based on the available feedback, it appears that these key products of the brand perform most consistently when expectations align with routine personal care and beauty maintenance instead of dramatic transformation. We suggest reviewing product-specific details and considering personal compatibility before integrating the brand’s offerings into your routine.

  2. Brand Reputation

To assess Beauty By Earth’s reputation, we reviewed the brand’s operating history, overall market presence, and visibility across independent review platforms. The brand has a limited presence on Trustpilot, which is based on a small number of reviews shared between 2023 and 2024. Similarly, it also maintains a presence on ThingTesting. However, it is based on a very limited number of outdated reviews shared between 2024 and 2025.

Beyond these platforms, the brand has no meaningful presence on other recognized review platforms, including Better Business Bureau, ConsumerAffairs, Sitejabber, and Reviews.io.  Such a restrictive third-party footprint reduces the amount of independently verified feedback available for evaluating customer satisfaction, service consistency, and overall brand reliability. Due to these reasons, we view the brand’s reputation as moderate and still developing from an independent review perspective.

Conclusion

Beauty By Earth emphasizes naturally derived personal care products, ingredient transparency, and cruelty-free product development. However, personal experiences and suitability might vary based on factors like your skin type, sensitivities, ingredient preferences, and personal expectations. The brand also uses essential oils, botanical extracts, naturally derived fragrances, and citrus ingredients across many products. Such ingredients might contribute to irritation, redness, dryness, or allergic reactions, especially if you have fragrance-sensitive or reactive skin.

Patch testing new products before full application, trying one product at a time, and slowly increasing usage could make it easier to identify potential reactions. Extra caution is also required when using retinoids, exfoliating acids, prescription skincare products, or other routines that may affect skin barrier function, as combining multiple active or fragranced products might raise the likelihood of irritation.
