Quercus robur

Also called Truffle Oak, native to Europe and parts of Asia, this tree was introduced into the United States for its strong timber. These trees can live up to 1,500 years.

Habitat:Planted as an ornamental, sometimes escaping along roadsides or woodland edges.
Growth Habit:Deciduous tree, growing up to 45 m tall.
Bloom Time:Early spring.
